Richard M. GreenwaldRichard M. Greenwald, PhD, founder and CEO, is an entrepreneur and biomedical engineer with over 15 years of experience in research and development in rehabilitation and orthopedic biomechanics.Dr. Greenwald has been directly involved in product development for numerous biofeedback and data acquisition products for the medical and rehabilitation industries. He has received multiple awards from the National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, and Department of Defense for product development through the Small Business Innovation Program (SBIR). Dr. Greenwald previously started and managed the US Division: Orthopedics, Sports, and Rehabilitation, for TÜV Product Service, a multinational firm specializing in product testing and regulatory certification of products for sale in the European Union. He has significant key relationships with major US and international clients in the orthopedic, sports and rehabilitation fields. He currently serves on the Advisory Board for the National Center for Medical Rehabilitation Research at NIH. He is Associate Professor (adjunct) at Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College. |

Hugh HerrHugh Herr, PhD, founder and Chief Scientific Officer, is the NEC Career Development Professor at the MIT Media Lab and holds a joint appointment between MIT's Program in Media Arts and Sciences and The Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology. He is the director and principal investigator of the Biomechatronics group of MIT's Media Laboratory.Herr received his BA in physics from Millersville University of Pennsylvania, an MS in mechanical engineering from MIT, and a PhD in biophysics from Harvard University. Prior to coming to the Media Lab, Herr was assistant professor at the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology and the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Harvard Medical School. Professor Herr's research interests include biomechanics, biological motion control, and the advancement of human rehabilitation and augmentation technology. |

Nicholas NegroponteNicholas Negroponte, PhD, is founder and chairman of the One Laptop per Child non-profit association. He is currently on leave from MIT, where he was co-founder and director of the MIT Media Laboratory, and the Jerome B. Wiesner Professor of Media Technology. A graduate of MIT, Nicholas was a pioneer in the field of computer-aided design, and has been a member of the MIT faculty since 1966. Conceived in 1980, the Media Laboratory opened its doors in 1985. He is also author of the 1995 best seller, Being Digital, which has been translated into more than 40 languages. In the private sector, Nicholas serves on the board of directors for Motorola, Inc. and as general partner in a venture capital firm specializing in digital technologies for information and entertainment. He has provided start-up funds for more than 40 companies, including Wired magazine. |

William A. SahlmanWilliam A. Sahlman, MBA, PhD, is the Dimitri V. d'Arbeloff - Class of 1955 Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School. The d'Arbeloff Chair was established in 1986 to support teaching and research on the entrepreneurial process. The Chair honors the late Dimitri d'Arbeloff (HBS '55), whose entrepreneurial skills helped make Millipore Corporation a world leader in its industry.Mr. Sahlman received an A.B. degree in Economics from Princeton University, an M.B.A. from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. in Business Economics, also from Harvard. His research focuses on the investment and financing decisions made in entrepreneurial ventures at all stages in their development. |
